One of my camping essentials is of course a first aid kit. No one should leave the house without it in the first place. Yes, you may have a tent or a sleeping bag but when you don't have a first aid kit, how can you sleep soundly? In addition, having adequate water and a water filter are necessary things to bring, too. Make sure you also have your camping hatchet or knife with you. And don't forget the food!
